A willingness to take responsibility has been an element of our culture for generations. We see ourselves a part of the community – at our individual locations and globally. We take responsibility for all of our activities regardless of whether they relate to products or employees, the environment or the community. In April 2007, the Executive Board of Merck enacted the Merck Social Charter, which is binding on the entire Merck Group.
